The Bill (Reg. No. 2110) introduces amendments to the Law, which are to coordinate national legislation with the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and define actions necessary for protection of all people from the influence of tobacco smoke.
It is envisaged that "the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will ratify annual State Programs on Prevention and Reduction of Tobacco Goods Consumption and their Harmful Influence on Public Health, prepared by the central executive body on health care, and secure allocation and effective use of budget funds for implementation of the said programs".
The author believes that adoption of the Bill will create extra guarantees of reduction of harmful influence on public health, and social, environmental and economic consequences of tobacco goods consumption and harmful influence of tobacco smoke.
